Twin Tallow started during a season of my life when the way I looked at skincare completely changed.
I’ve struggled with my skin since childhood. Years of cystic acne, antibiotics, treatments, products, and eventually Accutane made skincare a huge part of my life long before I ever became an esthetician.
Accutane did clear my acne, but for me, it also came with other serious problems that changed the way I thought about treating skin. It was one of the first experiences that made me realize that getting the result you want doesn’t always mean there isn’t a bigger tradeoff.
And once I became an esthetician, I was all in.
I loved the newest treatments, the latest products, and the long routines. At one point, I had what felt like a ten-step skincare routine and was always looking for the next thing to add.
Then pregnancy changed my perspective again.
I started paying much closer attention to what I was using, why I was using it, and whether my skin actually needed all of it.
For the first time, I started questioning the idea that more automatically meant better.
That shift eventually extended beyond skincare. I became more intentional about what I used on my body, what I brought into my home, and what I felt comfortable using around my children.
Motherhood especially changed my standards.
My children come first, and becoming a mom made me much more thoughtful about the products that became part of our everyday lives.
That’s really where Twin Tallow began.
Beauty Balm was the first jar.
I wanted something rich, beautiful, effective, and uncomplicated. A formula built around thoughtfully chosen ingredients rather than a long ingredient list just for the sake of having one.
From that first jar, Twin Tallow slowly grew into a small collection for skin, body, lips + roots.
And the standard has stayed the same from the beginning:
If I wouldn’t put it on my children’s skin, it doesn’t go in the jar.
I’m an esthetician, a mom, and someone who has spent years learning about skin both professionally and through my own experience with it.
I still love beauty. I still love good skincare.
I just see it differently now.
I don’t believe more always means better.
I believe in understanding how skin works, choosing ingredients with intention, making products in small batches, and creating formulas that feel good enough to reach for every day.
That same philosophy is also what inspired Skin Notes. A place where I can go deeper into skin barrier health, ingredients, tallow, and the research behind the things we put on our skin.
Twin Tallow is simple skincare made thoughtfully for real life.
Soft skin. Glossy lips. Happy roots.
Made in small batches. Made with care. Made for real life.
